January 23, 2025 @ 7:30 PM | Kerrytown Concert House
Ann Arbor, MIchigan (MAP)
The Formosa Quartet returns to Kerrytown with two of the most significant works ever written for string quartet. One of these works, Beethoven’s Op. 18 No. 1, signifies the beautiful beginning of Beethoven’s great quartet opuses. The other, Schubert’s famous Death and the Maiden quartet, signifies Schubert’s sense of life’s approaching end. These two significances, one beginning the program and the other ending it, will sandwich a nonchalant — dare we say insignificant? — set of ditties designed to make you smile away your cares.
